WHAT TO EXPECT

Pick-up in Prague between 7:00-8:00*

1️⃣ Guided Walk: Castle, Old Town & Hidden Corners

We begin at the top — literally. After arriving early (before the big crowds), we’ll park above the town and start a guided walk through the castle complex (exteriors), taking in sweeping views over the rooftops and the Vltava River bens as we descend gently along a cobbled path.

From there, we’ll explore what were once three separate historic townsLatrán, the Old Town, and the Jewish Quarter. Each has its own unique vibe, and we take the time to enjoy it all.

This isn’t a checklist march — we move at a relaxed, easy-going pace, stopping for photos, stories, and local insights. Along the way, we’ll discover hidden gems most tours skip — from tucked-away viewpoints to charming artisan shops and quiet corners that feel miles away from the main square.

Physical demand: 🟢 Easy (well-maintained paths, walking down)

2-2.5 hours ● Guided walk

After a morning of exploring, we’ll enjoy a well-deserved lunch at a cozy local restaurant, where you’ll experience authentic Czech cuisine. Expect hearty traditional dishes — from slow-cooked meats and rich sauces with typical dumplings to seasonal specialties.

Please note that vegan and vegetarian options in traditional Czech cuisine are limited, but we are happy to coordinate with the kitchen to find a suitable meal.

Physical demand: 🔘 Not applicable (seated break)

1 hour ●  Lunch Included (1 main course + 1 non-alcoholic drink, beer or wine)

Once you’ve got your bearings, you’ll have at least 2 hours of free time to explore on your own. Whether you want to sip coffee by the river, hunt for local crafts, or just soak in the town’s magic, we’ve got you covered with insider tips.

And because every traveler’s interest is different, your ticket includes entry to one museum of your choice. Some of the options:

  • 🖼️ Castle Museum

  • 🧬 Moldavite Museum

  • 🎨 Egon Schiele Art Centrum

  • 📿 Monastery Museum

  • 🏛️ Regional Museum

Note: opening times vary by season, and most museums are closed on Mondays. Your guide will help you choose the best available option on the day.

When your free time comes to an end, we’ll meet at a convenient, pre-agreed spot near the center, so you won’t have to walk uphill again. Just relax — we’ll come pick you up by car.

Physical demand: 🟢 Easy (🟡 Moderate if you choose to walk up the castle again)

2 hod ● Free Time ● Admission to One Museum included

On the way back to Prague, we make a final stop in Holašovice — a tiny, postcard-perfect village that’s been beautifully preserved and recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

We’ll spend about 30 minutes here, just enough to stretch your legs and soak in the calm atmosphere of rural South Bohemia. Your guide will give you a short walk-through of the village’s unique layout, history, and folk traditions — a quiet end to a rich day.

There are a few small seasonal exhibitions and craft displays, though opening hours vary depending on the time of year. Sometimes the peace and quiet itself is the best part.

🟢 Easy (short walk on flat surface)

30-45 min ● Guided Walk & Free Time ● Museum visits at own cost

Drop-off in Prague between 17:30-18:30*

*Note: All times are estimates. Your exact pick-up time will be confirmed the day before your tour. Return time depends on traffic and other factors, so some flexibility is appreciated.

Jun 2025 ︱ Bohemian Saxon Switzerland Tour
I was lucky enough to take a tour to Bohemian Switzerland with Czech Out Tours and it was an unforgettable experience. From the first moment, the guide was approachable, organized and passionate about showing the best of the place. The scenery was out of this world - forests, breathtaking rock formations and lookouts with breathtaking views. What I liked most was that it was not just about seeing beautiful things, but about understanding the place, its history and legends. I recommend this experience 100%. Ideal if you are looking to get out of the typical city tourism and explore the Czech nature with someone who really knows and loves the place. I wish all tours were like this!

Was a long day with a lot of walking but saw so many beautiful sights. The Bastei Bridge and the Elbe Sandstone Mountains are beautiful but was very crowded and the viewing spots were quite small too. My favourite part was the hike up to the Pravčická Arch even though it's pretty steep at some points. You can even do an extra little bit to see it from a better view. Having a beer under the arch was a cherry on top. Ondrej was a great guide who kept everyone's spirits up and cheered us on when we lagged behind the rest of the group. He also had amazing insights on the places we visited and has a knack for the hidden gems and best spots. Overall, it was a really long day but definitely one of the best tours I did on my trip!

Our tour with Ondrej was excellent! The transport was comfortable, the views were great, lunch was delicious and we had plenty of time at all of the sights along the way. Ondrej is an knowledgeable and very personable guide. Would definitely recommend this if you're looking for a nice day trip outdoors!

This tour was amazing and Ondrej is a fabulous guide!. After being pick up at my hotel (loved the door to door service!) We traveled to Bohemian Saxon Switzerland and toured Bastei. The history was captivating and the views were riveting. We stopped for lunch and then traveled to Tisa Rock and hiked the rock formation. During our tour, Ondrej not only guided us through the formation but also pointed out some of the sandstone formations featured in the "Chronicles of Narnia" series. I would highly recommend the tour and would do it again!!!!

Ondra was very attentive to our needs and great communicator. He was constantly keeping us up to date right before the pick up, so we knew exactly were he was (which is great for anxious travellers). He is really compromised in offering a lovely experience; he heard me commenting about a wish for a dessert and took us to a great bakery on the way, he also observed how into mushrooms I was and he shared his mushrooms knowledge with us along the whole way. I've travelled a lot, and I can say with confidence that he is on my top 2 Guides ever!

Ondřej is absolutely AMAZING! Went on this tour with him during my honeymoon in Prague and it’s still one of our favorite parts of the whole trip! The scenery is amazing, the food we got was incredible, and Ondřej himself was the perfect guide! We were treated so well the whole time! Getting picked up and dropped off right at our hotel, snacks and drinks in the car, food included for lunch (including accommodations for food allergies, which was big for us), and a general sense of care that we got from Ondřej, created a wonderful experience that I would recommend to absolutely every visiting Prague!
